Scriptwriter
Write long-form YouTube scripts that people watch to the end. You get briefs, research the topic and deliver scripts with strong hooks, clear flow and the voice of each channel.
This role isn't for everyone. Check before you apply.
Apply if all of these are true
- You've written long-form YouTube scripts with results: retention, views or channel growth.
- You can adapt your tone to different channels and niches.
- You research a topic deeply on your own.
- You know YouTube structure: hooks, pattern interrupts, pacing and natural CTAs.
- Your English writing is native or near-native.
Don't apply if any of these is true
- Your scripts read like blog posts instead of spoken video.
- You need a lot of back-and-forth to understand a brief.
- Your drafts usually need structural rewrites, not light edits.
- You don't have a track record writing for YouTube.
- You miss deadlines without warning.
If you meet all of the above, keep reading.
What you'll actually do.
Viral Bangers is a done-for-you YouTube agency for experts and personal brands who sell high-ticket offers. We plan, script, edit and publish long-form videos, and turn them into short-form content. The team is small, fully remote and works to a high bar. Scripts are the foundation of everything we produce. We're not looking for someone to fill a word count. We want someone who understands why people watch a video from start to finish, and writes to make that happen.
Responsibilities
- Write long-form scripts from briefs in ClickUp, following each channel's tone, format and style guide.
- Research every topic so the script is accurate, relevant and engaging.
- Write hooks that grab attention in the first 30 seconds.
- Apply feedback from the Creative Director or Operations Lead and deliver clean final drafts.
- Follow the format, length and structure set for each client.
- Deliver on the dates in ClickUp and flag any risk before the deadline.
- Follow our scriptwriting guidelines in Notion.
What you need to have.
- Proven long-form YouTube scriptwriting, with published examples.
- Strong research and storytelling skills.
- Clean, revision-light drafts.
- Comfort with ClickUp, Slack, Google Docs and Notion.
What we look for
- You check your own work before you send it.
- You ask early when a brief isn't clear.
- You can hold several channels' voices at once.
- You write for the ear, not the page.
How you're paid.
$1,500 a month, flat rate, invoiced once a month.
Covers all scripts delivered in the month. Volume depends on active clients, up to 6 to 7 at a time.
You start with one paid trial script from a real client brief, then a short call.
